A new book called "The Nine" by Jeffrey Toobin reveals Supreme Court Justice David Souter nearly resigned after the Bush v. Gore decision in 2000, according to examiner.com. Souter was apparently "shattered" after the decision, wept at times when thinking of the case and only stayed on at the urging of close friends.
