Did Anyone Talk About This Back In June? Poor Al. The msm is still sticking it to him.

H's down to 8% now, due in no small part to his indecision. The real story is the grassroots efforts to draft Al Gore. This is what democracy is all about ... people deciding for themselves who they want to represent them without any media or other interference. How's that for irony?

The Draft Al Gore campaign has collected 1000 signatures, although it's not clear why their efforts are not framed to get his name on the primary ballot.
Draft Gore New Hampshire, based in Littleton, said in a press release that organizers have collected the names in a petition drive at picnics, campaign events, fairs, and parades this summer. They plan to continue the effort this fall.
It's also telling that he inspires such passion and dedication. One of the themes in his speeches is that "governments derive their just powers from the consent of the governed" (Thomas Jefferson.) Gore's political clout is the result of his accomplishments and his statesmanship. As President Gore, he will restore democracy to the executive branch of government in its truest sense.
