Another Award For Al Gore.
We all did our part to help Katrina victims. I gave money. However, I also gave half of my sheets, blankets, clothes, shoes, and so on. I washed everything two times and packed them up and labeled the little bundles. Inside, I placed bars of deoderent soap, with the hope of providing the comfort of clean sheets and clothes to a few people. I didn't pack up one discard. They didn't deserve that. I gave away my stuff, pillows, two children's comforter sets that I had lovingly saved for my future grandchildren, and other treasures. It took a couple of days to sort through, wash, fold and pack everything up. I sent my care package via a local church. A couple of deacons drove a semi filled with up to the top with relief supplies directly to another church. People helping people. You do what you can do.
Al Gore was simply another person like me, with far greater resources, who did what he could do.
